Victor kissed Yuuri. He kissed Yuuri in front of thousands of people. Because Yuuri petted him on the head and did a quad flip. Because Yuuri was the most amazing person Victor had ever met, and… he couldn’t take it anymore. Victor had once asked Yuuri, “what do you want me to be to you?” But he had never given Yuuri his own answer to that question. And it was finally time to be brave, and to ask for what he wants.
Maybe if Victor was better at listening to his coach, this would not have happened. But apparently, nodding and agreeing to whatever Yakov had been blah-blahing about means that Victor Nikiforov has graciously opened his home to Yakov’s newest student: a Japanese skater named Yuuri Katsuki. It’s going to be a disaster, Victor just knows it. Then again, maybe having Yuuri as a roommate will change Victor’s mind about how nice it is being alone, but Victor doubts it. He always has been better off alone anyway.
Yuuri probably would have been better off not knowing they existed. After all, St. Petersburg was already a huge adjustment, but… Yuuri would not be able to think about anything else until he tasted of the forbidden fruit. So now, he was on a mission.
