Victor is uncertain of his relationship status with Yuuri, and decides to take matters into his own hands. Some fluff along the way.
Yuuri's husband is possibly not as oblivious as he seems, because he grins and asks, "Have you never looked up Yuuri?"
"There's a porn actress with the same name who went into politics," says Nate, "so she's most of the results, and some stuff about figure skating."
"Some stuff about figure skating," Victor says ruefully to Yuuri.
Having worked in a jewelry store for his entire life, Viktor recognizes what’s happening long before the beautiful— if sloppily dressed—stranger even enters the shop. The pacing, the light flush, the way his amber eyes linger on the displays as he passes the storefront again and again: all of them easy signs.
He’s a man who wants to propose to his significant other, but is incredibly nervous about it.
Yakov doesn’t launch into a lecture. That’s how Viktor knows that things have changed. He is not the skater he was. He used to be the only one who knew it but everyone else can see it now, too. They sidestep around him because they are afraid to admit it. Don’t be, Viktor wants to say. I’ve been trying to tell this you all along.
[Viktor Nikiforov has added Katsuki Yuuri to the group **YAKOV’S BOYS (AND GIRL!!)**]
Yuri Plisetsky: ew lol
Viktor Nikiforov: Seriously?
After all your complaining? For months?
‘Yuuri pleeeeeease join my group chat I’m so sad without you’

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
Yuuri and Phichit are guardian angels, sworn to protect the people of Earth.
Victor and Chris live their lives, unaware of the celestial beings watching over them.
But one day angels go missing. As Yuuri and Phichit set out to solve that mystery their own story of love and friendship begins to unravel - and they learn what it truly means to have a soulmate.
He’s making excuses. Excuses, excuses, Yuri is as sick of them as he was before, perhaps even more so now. He’s heard them all repeatedly, been given every single one that could have been imagined in the past. Yuri doesn’t care for such things, he finds them ridiculous, and yet the most pathetic one he can recall are the ones he’s telling himself now.
----
Yuri Plisetsky has disappeared without a trace, leaving behind his best friend and worried "parents". It doesn't take much before the champions of the figure skating world are suddenly thrown into a man hunt across the globe, and for the love of all that there is, he's somehow forgotten his phone.
Victor kissed Yuuri. He kissed Yuuri in front of thousands of people. Because Yuuri petted him on the head and did a quad flip. Because Yuuri was the most amazing person Victor had ever met, and… he couldn’t take it anymore. Victor had once asked Yuuri, “what do you want me to be to you?” But he had never given Yuuri his own answer to that question. And it was finally time to be brave, and to ask for what he wants.
"You'd be a voice, Vitya. Not only for the other people, but for our company. Do you know how much we could grow from this? Our competitors would be blown out of the water and I'm sure you and I would give you benefits never before seen in the company."
Yakov hid his smirk, pulling out his trump card that he knew would be the last push. "After all, don't you love surprising your audience? You haven't published anything in a while, imagine the reactions you'd get if you were to publish the first and only article about the sanctuary."
He pretended to look away as he took a sip of his water. "Besides, who knows what those people are really doing to those poor animals? They could be getting abused or starved or both. Doesn't it seem suspicious to you, how much the owner is prioritizing security and privacy?"
Viktor froze in the middle of standing up. He bit his lip and stared at him with calculating eyes before sighing in resignation and plopping back down. He grabbed the folder, much more intentional than before, and flipped it open to pull out one of the few photos.
Or: Viktor is an elite journalist for National Geographic and Yuuri runs an animal sanctuary that nobody knows anything about.
It’s Japanese Nationals. Yuuri is focused on trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the Japanese skating community after last season’s performance. The Japanese figure skating community is focused on the fact that their Ace is back on top with a World Champion fiance.
